The Cormorant

A fun and small neighborhood diner where most of the customers were addressed by name. With a 4.9 rating, we had to check out their burgers. No off-street parking, but we walked from a nearby park. We sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the buzz in the dining area and the kitchen. Very friendly counter service. We ordered the Hangover Burger with fries and the Classic Burger with onion rings. The burgers and sides were fabulous and filling. The brunch menu looks fabulous and makes me wish I lived within a block or two of this popular place. Expect a wait unless you arrive early, but I'd highly recommend a visit to this colorful local gem. There is one small table out front and takeout pick-ups were non-stop during our visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars

The Cormorant is such a CUTE spot! My boyfriend and I stopped here for dinner before heading to the beach and the burgers were out of this world. It felt very homey in there and our server was very nice. Definitely a hole in the wall gem. If you get the chance to visit I highly recommend. They also have milkshakes (we didn’t try them) but they looked fantastic.

First time in - cozy little spot with cool decor. Staff were very friendly! Burger was DEE-licious!!! Onion rings were awesome! Too full for dessert, but the pie looked terrific. Will definitely be back!

Delicious diner style food, the smash burger was amazing, house-made French fries and a nice lineup of house-made desserts! Don’t miss their brunch menu on Sundays

This place is great!! Friendly staff great milkshakes got the pork belly smash burger! And it was outstanding!! I did ask for no jalapeños, got them anyway. the burger was outstanding!! Fries are really good too! I will definitely be back!! $32 for a burger and milkshake is a high price…..it’s Newburyport.

Sweet family restaurant. Everything we had here was great, and made in house. The chicken sandwich, chocolate chip cookies and coffee were especially good.

Absolutely nothing but positive things to say! After a few years, we FINALLY made it to The Cormorant back in November and have been back 5 times (or more?) since then! We have mostly done takeout, but just ate there at the restaurant, and the staff was exceptional. Beyond accommodating, attentive, and kind. Even though it’s taken us a while to go, it’s quickly become one of our favorites!
